Grant ScopedOps access to a GoDaddy domain

Use this when your domain is registered at GoDaddy and we need to help with DNS (records for email, site, verification, etc.) during Kickoff or Site Care. Prefer adelegate invite over sharing your login password.

What we need

• Ability to view and edit DNS for the domain we’re working on
• Your confirmation of which domain(s) are in scope

Invite a delegate (typical path)

Panels below are schematics — GoDaddy’s labels move around, but the path stays the same.

1. 1Sign in to GoDaddy

   Open your GoDaddy account in a browser and sign in as the owner (or someone who can manage delegates).

2. 2Open Delegate Access

   Open Account Settings (or your profile menu) and look forDelegate Access / Folders & Delegates. Wording varies by account layout.

3. 3Invite with our email

   Choose Invite to Access (or equivalent) and enter the email we gave you at Kickoff — usually a ScopedOps / support address. Don’t invent a new email; use the one we sent.

4. 4Grant Domains only

   Grant access to the product folders that include Domains (DNS). Skip payments and unrelated products unless we explicitly ask.

5. 5Send the invite

   Send the invite, then reply to Kickoff (or Help) and tell us it’s waiting so we can accept.

If you only see “Folders”

Some GoDaddy accounts organize domains into folders first. Create or open the folder that holds the domain, then invite the delegate to that folder with Domains permission.

After we accept

• We’ll confirm we can see the domain and DNS editor
• We’ll only change records we agreed on in Kickoff
• You can revoke delegate access anytime in the same GoDaddy settings

Don’t do this

• Don’t email us your GoDaddy password
• Don’t transfer the domain unless we explicitly asked for a transfer
• Don’t delete existing DNS records “to clean up” before we review them
